What does a rotation include?

We prep the bed, add fresh soil and plant the new color. Rotations go in during April, June and October, and your contract sets how many, so the property never looks tired.

Where does it go?

Entry and monument beds first, because that's what residents and visitors see. Then medians, gate beds and common areas. Some of the entries we plant were built by our own development division.

What keeps it alive?

Water. On properties we maintain, the same account covers irrigation and grounds maintenance, so the beds and the system watering them are one company's job.

Seasonal color: common questions

How often is seasonal color changed?

Sage and Stone Landscapes rotates seasonal color in spring (April), summer (June) and fall (October), as many rotations as your contract sets, with fresh soil and bed prep, using plants chosen for Texas sun and heat.

Where do you plant seasonal color?

Sage and Stone Landscapes plants seasonal color in entry and monument beds, medians, gate beds and common areas, such as the entry median at Quail Hollow and the gatehouse roundabout at Granada, both in Westlake.

Can seasonal color be added to a maintenance contract?

Yes. Seasonal color is part of the Sage and Stone Landscapes commercial maintenance service, so the same account manager handles your grounds care and your color rotations.
